Our Events

“He came for a sausage… and left with less pain in his back than he’d felt in years.” That’s the kind of story you hear at a Signal Flare event. Because we’re more than just a quarterly BBQ — we’re a connection hub. A place where someone doing it tough can grab a hot meal, a clean toothbrush, a warm jacket… and even get a free health check from a nurse or a spinal assessment from a volunteer chiropractor. It starts with food. But it leads to dignity, relief, and a sense of being seen.

Volunteer Teams

Looking for a team-building experience that actually makes a difference? Offices and groups can volunteer together at Signal Flare — from running BBQs to sorting donations or hosting a drive. It’s a chance to connect, give back, and grow stronger as a team.

Volunteer Single

Flying solo? You won’t be for long. Volunteering with Signal Flare is a great way to meet like-minded people, build real connections, and be part of something bigger. You never know—those conversations over a sausage sizzle could lead to lasting friendships, new ideas, or even future opportunities.

Your financial support is what keeps Signal Flare alive. It funds hot meals, essential supplies, warm clothes, and the logistics behind every event. Each dollar helps us reach more people, more often — and reminds them they’re not alone.

Why We Do
What We Do.

Homelessness isn’t just about lacking a roof — it’s about being shut out, unseen, and alone. Many people experiencing homelessness report deep, chronic loneliness, often going days without a single meaningful conversation.

At Signal Flare, we believe connection is just as vital as food or shelter. That’s why our events offer more than a hot meal or clean clothes — they offer kindness, eye contact, and conversation. We create spaces where people feel welcome, valued, and human again because no one should feel invisible.

"Loneliness doesn't come from being alone, it comes from feeling like nobody cares."
